The World Health Organisation and the authorities of Mali
have confirmed the first fatal case of Ebola on the territory of the
country, BBC reports.

The index case is a 2-year-old girl, who was brought by her relatives in a bus from Guinea to her home town in Mali. The toddler with symptoms of the deadly virus has reportedly came into contact with at least 40 people.
The mother of the infected girl passed away in one of Ebola’s epicentres, Guinea, a couple of weeks ago.
