According to the expectations Pep Guardiola is planning to
leave Bayern Munich next season- just when Arsene Wenger might be ready
to retire as Arsenal manager.
Last week Wenger’s future as the manager of the Gunners was the object of speculation. Carlo Ancelotti and Paul Clement where discussed as potential successors. But the Evening Standard says Guardiola has emerged as a more serious option and Arsenal will look to move for him in 2016.
Guardiola states that he is leaving Bayern for a new challenge presumably at the Premier League. The former Barcelona boss is expected to head Chelsea, Manchester City or Manchester United.
Guardiola signed a three-year contract at Bayern but according to the rumours he has no wish to stay longer after 2016.
Arsenal would have competition to this appointment and if a deal could be agreed, Wenger would most likely move upstairs into a director role.
