National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Umeh, has faulted the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for saying it had been losing governorship elections in Anambra State as a result of former governor of the state, Mr. Peter Obi’s political clout and not because of APGA’s popularity.
Mr. Obi recently defected to PDP from APGA.

According to Chief Umeh “contrary to the claim by PDP that they have been losing Governorship election to Mr. Obi and not APGA as a party, I wish to tell them that APGA is a movement that is in spirit and not under the control of any individual, but a party that is driven by the circumstances of the people behind it.

“Our people are not happy with the way things are happening in Nigeria and they think APGA is their voice, so, there is no magic Mr. Obi can do as a person by joining PDP, to change the situation for his new party, we in APGA are his strength when he was with us”, he said.
