Gabon midfielder, Guelor Kanga has been handed a three-game suspension by the Russian Football Union (RFU) for gesturing at Spartak Moscow fans who racially abused him.
The RFU ruled his response as an “insulting gesture to fans”. Kanga was also fined 50,000 rubles (£600).
Spartak have received a 70,000 rubles (£830) fine after their fans were charged with “chanting insulting expressions.”
In September, Dynamo Moscow defender Christopher Samba received a two-match ban in similar circumstances after Torpedo Moscow fans racially abused him.
