Robert Huth Joins Leicester City on Loan

German defender Robert Huth has joined Leicester City on loan from Stoke City until the end of the season.

The Foxes are banking on the experience of the former Chelsea centre-back in their bid to climb out of the relegation zone.

The weekend’s 3-1 defeat at Manchester United left Nigel Pearson’s side in the basement of the 20-team Premier League table with 17 points from 23 matches.

Huth becomes the third player to join the Foxes in the winter transfer window following goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and striker Andrej Kramaric. He will serve the second game of a two-match suspension after he admitted breaching FA rules on social media comments when Crystal Palace visit the King Power Stadium on Saturday. He will be available for selection for next Tuesday’s game at Arsenal.
