Abuja - Delta State Governor-elect, Ifeanyi Okowa, has assured the people of the state the incoming administration would not renege on the promises made during the electioneering campaign.
He gave the assurance while addressing the leadership and members of Izu Anioma, a socio-cultural organisation of the Anioma people in Asaba.
Okowa maintained that his administration would ensure that equity and fairness are applied in every decision and action of government, especially in appointments and allocation of resources as well as in the provision of infrastructure across the state.
“This is the only way to build a more united and prosperous Delta of our dream. We will do our best to bring all Deltans together, for there lay our strength,” Okowa said
The governor-elect called for the support and commitment of all people in the state in refocusing the state for greatness.
He pointed out that the incoming administration would partner with the private sector to create employment for the people.
“We must definitely look for ways to attract investors to assist government in job creation. We are not unmindful of the current global financial challenges posed by significant drop in oil prices, but I am very hopeful we will overcome it in no distant time,” Okowa said
Okowa urged the group not to relent in its support and prayers for the incoming government.
