Taylor Swift: Singer calls cancer-stricken fan 3 weeks before her death

The 12-year-old fan who received a personal call from her favourite music icon, Taylor Swift has passed away three weeks after.

Emily Beazley suffered non-Hodgkim's lymphoma for four years and died on Monday, 18, Chicago tribune reports.

Late Emily got Taylor's attention through the hashtag #EmilyStrong and the 25-year-old singer, who recently revealed her own mom's cancer diagnosis, not only gave the preteen a call, but offered her and her family tickets and backstage passes to her Detroit concert on May 30.

Sadly, Emily will never get the chance to meet her idol face-to-face.
