Alleged Fraud Suspect Dies In EFCC Custody

Alhaji Suleiman Yerima, a foreign exchange dealer and businessman, remanded at the Kirikiri Prisons, Lagos, has died after slumping at the mosque.

According to THISDAY, Yerima died exactly three weeks after he was transferred and remanded to the prison pending court judgment on his case instituted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).A foreign exchange dealer and businessman named Alhaji Suleiman Yerima who was remanded at the Kirikiri Prisons, in Lagos state over a N120 million forex deal that went odd has died after slumping at the mosque.
His body was taken to his family who have rejected it pending on when the prison service tenders a concrete explanations of events that led to his death.
A reliable source who spoke to THISDAY on account of anonymity said the deceased died on Eid-el-Fitr day at the prisons mosque during prayers.
