ALGIERS- Algeria and Egypt signed Monday, in Algiers, a memorandum of cooperation in the fight against corruption which provides particularly for the exchange of proven practices in the prevention and fight against this scourge.
The memorandum was signed by President of the National Body for Prevention and Fight against Corruption (ONPLC) Brahim Bouzeboudjen, for the Algerian side, and President of the Administrative Control Body Mohamed Houssam Mohamed Rachouane Mahmoud, for the Egyptian side.
The memorandum of cooperation provides for the organization of training sessions, strengthening of the capacities and expertise of the two bodies’ employees as well as the development of research and academic studies on corruption and financial crime.
The document also includes the exchange of information on the measures taken by each side in terms of preventing and combating corruption and exchanging proven practices in the legislative field through the participation in conferences and workshops.
