Former Prime minister Amama Mbabazi has picked nomination forms from the Electoral Commission




Former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi has picked nomination forms today from the Electoral Commission headquarters on Jinja Road in Kampala.
Escorted by his wife Jacqueline Mbabazi, Mr Mbabazi is the first aspiring presidential candidate to pick the nomination forms. He will henceforth embark of the process of collecting signatures of 100 registered voters from two thirds of the 112 districts to endorse his nomination.
Mbabazi went on to explain his decision to stand as an independent according to the Ugandan law "Any person is free to stand as an independent, I belong to that category of any person"
