Messahel: Algerian government has important role in supporting youth
AMMAN (Jordan) - Minister for Maghreb Affairs, the African Union and the Arab League Abdelkader Messahel emphasized on Friday in Amman, the "special" place occupied by the Algerian youth, and the "important" role of the government to support them.
Taking part takes on Friday and Saturday in the Amman Conference on "Youth, security and peace," Messahel strongly emphasized "the Algerian experience in the democratic governance where youth has a special place and the government role in the accompaniment of youth entrepreneurship."

"Youth share in the program of the President of the Republic and the interest he has always shown in this sensitive category of the population stems from his belief that the creation of a healthy environment and the implementation of suitable mechanisms for creativity and innovation are assets that enable youth to get involved in the creation of wealth and be away from dark areas of violence, radicalism and terrorism," said Minister.
On this occasion, Messahel mentioned the policy of harmony and national reconciliation which "defeated the ideology of violence and exclusion, and contributed to significantly to the country's stability, security of persons and property."
This policy also allowed "promoting a climate of inclusive dialogue in a bid to consolidate the Rule of Law and complete the establishment of democratic and social institutions, "he added
"No doubt, indeed, that tolerance and generalization of brotherhood and togetherness values have enabled Algeria to make significant achievements for youth, the main player in the development of progress and the building of strong and sustainable national institutions," noted the Minister
According to Messahel, "youth involvement in promoting peace and their contribution to plural dialogue, free from stigma and exclusion, the respect for others in their differences, their beliefs and their convictions are a unique platform for the promotion for peaceful world."
