MTN Nigeria New CEO, Nhleko Promises To Deal With NCC

Following the resignation of the former group CEO, Mr. Sifiso Dabengwa, due to the N1.04tn fine imposed on the company by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, MTN Nigeria has appointed Mr. Phuthuma Nhleko as its new group CEO.

For the meantime, Non-Executive Chairman of the company, Mr. Nhleko has taken over as acting Executive chairman for a maximum period of six months pending the appointment of a new CEO.

“I’ll proactively deal with the Nigerian regulator and will continue to work with them in addressing the issues around unregistered subscribers as a matter of urgency”, Nhleko.
