Paris St. Germain’s Angel Di Maria has revealed that a phone call from coach Laurent Blancplayed a factor in him signing for the club.

Di Maria have moved to the French champions after a torrid season with Manchester United, and revealed Blanc’s phone call even before he signed was an “added incentive.”

“The first time we spoke, it was before I signed for PSG,” Di Maria said. “This made me very happy. It happened the same way when Jose Mourinho made me come to Real Madrid. They called me before I spoke with them. Blanc called me when he was in the United States and I was still on holiday.”

“He said he was very happy to recruit me, that he had wanted me for several seasons. Obviously, this gave me an added incentive to sign for PSG.”

Manchester United will certainly rue losing the Argentine winger, as a lack of attacking options have seen the club kicked out the Champions League and without a win in 5 games.
