A Colorado farmer is preparing for the Super Bowl by knitting Denver Broncos sweaters for the 150 baby goats expected this spring. Rebecca Herberg, who runs the 400-acre goat farm with her husband in Montrose, said she has been busy in the run-up to the Super Bowl knitting Denver Broncos sweaters for the 150 baby goats expected to be born on the farm during the coming spring.
Herberg said the sweaters have also proven useful for her 15 dogs. “They look like a bunch of little Broncos fans running around down there,” she said. The farmer said the Denver Broncos turned her into a football fan.
“They’re really a team that you can be proud of, and I love them,” she said. “It’s not so much I’m a football fan as that I’m a Broncos fan, and how can you not be?” The Broncos are scheduled to face the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday in San Francisco.
