Bring Back Our Girls convener, Oby Ezekweili has blasted President Buhari's spokesman over the statement he released on the female suicide bomber arrested in Cameroon, saying it was insensitive and disrespectful
The convener of the Bring Back Our Girl (BBOG) Group, Oby Ezekweili, few hours ago, took to her Twitter to call out President Buhari's Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba, over the statement he released on the female suicide bomber arrested in Cameroon who claims she is one of the missing Chibok Girls.
It was reported that Garba Shehu in the statement last night, said that the Federal Government has collected the girl's photo and forwarded it to the "Murtala Mohammed Foundation for verification by interested Chibok community stakeholders".
"Considering the well-known guidelines regarding the publication of photography of minors, we have decided to forward the pictures of the suspected bomber to the Murtala Mohammed Foundation for verification by interested Chibok community stakeholders," Shehu said.
The former Minister of Education thinks this was insensitive and disrespectful as more intelligence should have been deployed to address the issue.
