Minister
of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, weekend, said the remark credited
to Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State that President Goodluck
Jonathan is the easiest president to unseat, was a personal opinion.
However, Shekarau, who is the immediate past governor of Kano State, said during election, every politician is entitled to his views and opinions, “which do not necessarily represent the reality”.
“He is entitled to his opinion. If anybody in the political arena decides to express his opinion, he is entitled to it. There’s no problem with that”, he maintained.
Speaking on the education sector, the minister said the process of accessing funds from the Tertiary Education Trust fund (TETfund) is not difficult, adding that universities only need to follow the laid down rules.
