Nigeria are out of the African Under-17 Championship after suffering a 0-1 defeat by South Africa in Niamey on Wednesday.
Erick Mayo’s cracking low shot from close range in the 27th minute helped the Amajimbos edge the semi-final contest at the Stade General Seyni Kountche.
The Golden Eaglets struggled to find an equaliser but to no avail and will now battle the loser of the match between Mali and Guinea.
South Africa will face the winner of that match in Saturday’s final
