George W. Bush enjoys Hamptons cruise in vintage speedboat

Former president George W. Bush turned up in the Hamptons in style over the weekend, cruising around in a classic Riva speedboat once owned by Brigitte Bardot.
The wooden boat, christened Nounours (which means “teddy bear”) by the screen siren, was given to Bardot in 1959 by then-husband Roger Vadim, who wrote her movie “And God Created Woman.”
The 6.1-meter boat was sold at a Sotheby’s auction in Italy for 146,250 euros ($160,390) to an unknown buyer in May. Diners at waterfront hot spot Harlow East were astonished to see Bush sailing by Friday.
One patron told us, “He laughed when someone yelled from the dock, ‘You look almost as good as Bardot.’”
