Celine Dion’s oldest son, Rene Charles Angelil, has remained out of the spotlight mostly since his parents brought him home from the hospital in early 2001
But in a new Instagram photo from Canadian hockey player P.K. Subban, who plays for the Montreal Canadiens — nicknamed the Habs — on Oct. 12, the now-14-year-old cutie posed with his Canadian Grammy-winning mom.
“Only four days until site launch! Special thanks to Celine Dion, a big Habs fan,” Subban captioned the Instagram photo of the pair, in which they both hold up peace signs to create the number four.
After spending some time with her eldest son, Dion, 47, took her twins Eddy and Nelson to Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., on Oct. 14, ahead of their fifth birthday. The boys wore matching baseball shirts and posed with Mickey Mouse.
“Family fun / Beaucoup de plaisir @Disneyland ! – TC/ÉC,” she tweeted along with the photo.
According to US Weekly, Dion has spent the last year caring for her husband of 20 years, Rene Angelil, after his cancer battle worsened. She returned to her Las Vegas residency in late August after an extended hiatus.
“I’m trying really hard to show my children that sickness and things happen in life. You cannot be crying and be depressed and consistently talk about, ‘Oh my God,’” Dion told Us Weekly before her first show back. “Rene Charles is going to be 15 years old soon. He’s a wonderful young man. He’s entered his teenage years and sometimes we can go really crazy, for some teenagers, but so far so good. I have tremendous respect for my oldest, Rene Charles, because he’s showing strength to see his dad this way because he’s been his anchor. When he was younger he knew his dad was older but they bonded a lot. I’m sure it’s hard for him.”
