Manchester City did not miss Sergio Aguero, as they romped to a 5-1 win
over Bournemouth at the Etihad.
By half time, the table toppers had already put four past their visitors,
with Raheem Sterling scoring a hat-trick and Wilfried Bony capitalizing on
a defensive blunder.
Their rivals, Manchester United, also recorded a comprehensive 3-0 victory
over Everton at Goodison Park, while under-fire Chelsea won 2-0 at home to
Aston Villa.
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur played out a goalless draw in the first game
of the day, as Jurgen Klopp’s reign began.
In other matches, Leicester City again fought back from two goals down to draw
2-2 with Southamtpon. West Ham defeated 10-man Crystal Palace 3-1 and
West Brom beat Sunderland 1-0 at home.
