EA Sports deserve one huge pat on the back after producing a brilliant feature film on one man’s quest to name his FIFA 16 Ultimate Team of the Year.
The film centres around comedian and Grimsby fan Lloyd Griffith as he goes on a discovery around football to get the best team he possibly can.
It all starts with him discussing it with pals in the pub before he goes to a few dodgy destinations – including a farm to see what a llama thinks.
When he gets serious, Griffith gets the chance to meet Barcelona scout Charly Rexach, Opta Sports chief data analyst Duncan Alexander, AFC Wimbledon striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, sports psychologist Dan Abrahams, FUT addict Nathaniel, Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, a football shaman and Lionel Messi.
It’s quite the journey Griffith goes on, but it’s enjoyable as he combines some good football insight with better comedy moments.
Our particular favourite was scene with the shaman, where he gets the full spiritual workover before realising he has to speak to Barcelona superstar Messi.
It may be 25 minutes long, but the feature film is definitely something you should squeeze into lunch this afternoon.
