The Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State has expressed satisfaction over what it described as “passionate and sustained” efforts by the Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration in tackling insecurity and violence in the state.
The State Chairman of the PDP, Brother Felix Obuah, who stated this in a statement in Port Harcourt yesterday, said the party was fully aware that security of lives and property is the responsibility of any government worth its salt, adding that it was on that basis the governing party decided to evaluate the activities of Governor Wike.
“While condemning recent incidents of violent attacks in selected local government areas, the PDP has evidence that the perpetrators felt uncomfortable with the achievements of Governor Wike and the PDP in just few months, and therefore decided to puncture and destroy such unprecedented records”, Obuah said.
