Struggling Italian Serie A outfit Chievo Verona has announced that former Catania manager Rolando Maran will succeed Eugenio Corini, who was sacked after Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Roma.
Last weekend’s defeat at Roma’s Stadio Olimpico was Chievo’s fifth in seven matches, which saw them sit second from the bottom of the league standing.
Maran, 51, made 330 appearances as a player for the Verona-based club. He was booted out at Catania in April as the Sicilian side headed toward relegation from Serie A
