18 shelters, one workshop for homemade bombs discovered in Ain Defla
ALGIERS- A detachment of the People’s National Army discovered Thursday eighteen (18) shelters and one workshop for making homemade bombs, said a communiquĂ© of the National Defence Ministry, underlining that this operation enabled recovering three (03) Kalashnikov submachine guns.

“As part of fighting terrorism and in a search and combing operation near the locality of Amrouna in the south of Ain Defla province, at the level of the 1st military region, a detachment of the People’s National Army discovered, on 6 August 2015, eighteen (18) shelters and a workshop for making homemade bombs,” said the source.
This operation allowed also recovering three (03) Kalashnikov submachine guns, an important quantity of munitions and explosives, transceiver posts, mobile phone and detonation tools, added the source.
Furthermore, and as part of securing borders and fighting smuggling and organized crime, two detachments coming under the operational sectors of Tamanrasset and Bordj Badji Mokhtar (6th military region) and in coordination with the elements of the Algerian Customs, “arrested 26 illegal immigrants of different African nationalities aboard two all-terrain vehicles and seized a quantity of fuel totalling 20,400 litres aboard a lorry, destined for smuggling,” said the communiquĂ©.
