ORAN (Algeria)- Eritrea's cyclist Mekeseb Debesay won Wednesday the fourth step of the Tour of Algeria 2014, whose finish line was at Col of Santa-Cruz summit (Oran, 432-km west of Algiers), putting on the leader's yellow jersey.
Mekeseb Debesay clocked 3:45.18, ahead of Hong Kong's Yeung Ying Hon who clocked 3:45.48.
Eritrean Mekeseb Debesay also won the red jersey of the best sprinter, while the polka dot jersey of the best climber went to Emirati Youssef Mohamed.
For his part, Eritrean Emmanuel Egerzeigzaarhka put on the white jersey of the best hopeful.
The fifth and last step of the Cycling Tour of Algeria will take place Thursday on Oran-Tafraoui-Oran section, along 130 km.
