Andreas Pereira does not fancy a loan away despite lack of first-team action under LvG
MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Andreas Pereira wants to snub a move away from Old Trafford and fight for his Premier League future.
The 20-year-old is one of the best young talents to come off the club’s academy conveyor belt recently but he is not getting much action under manager Louis van Gaal.
The Brazilian has only started two first-team matches this season and both of those were in the Capital One Cup.
Pereira arrived at United in 2012 from PSV Eindhoven and is still much admired in Holland where clubs would be keen to take him back on loan.
United already have plenty of attacking midfielders this season with Memphis Depay, Anthony Martial, Juan Mata, Antonio Valencia and Ander Herrera all vying for the chance to support Wayne Rooney.
But Pereira wants to bide his time, learn his trade and force his way into van Gaal’s reckoning.
“You just have to handle these kind of things,” he said. “You keep waiting for your opportunity and I think that’s what I’m doing, and just keep working hard.
