ALGIERS- Algeria and Jordan expressed Monday, in Algiers, their satisfaction at the “excellent” level of their cooperation in higher education, said in communiqué Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
In an audience granted by the sectors’ Minister Tahar Hadjar to the Secretary General of the Jordanian Higher Education Ministry Hani Dhamour, the two sides underlined the importance of the exchanges between the two countries’ universities and research centres.
Algeria and Jordan expressed “their wishes to further strengthen this level of cooperation, notably in medical sciences where the Jordanian side asked Algeria for a greater contribution in terms of grants and pedagogical seats for the Jordanian students who preferred to continue their studies in the Algerian universities,” added the source.
“I fact, the number of the Jordanian students studying in Algeria is growing year after year. The number of these students has exceeded 300,” said the source, while the number of the Algerian students in Jordan totals 70.
The Algerian side expressed a “keen interest” in the Jordanian experience in terms of equivalence of diplomas.
